Most recently, the home entertainment experience to the joy that you can buy or rent a video and audio quality is good seed. If you have a bad experience with a large-screen theater surround sound system.
About the advent of DVD and home theater audio that will not be a vice in the home with Theater Entertainment cheaper and easier to build up over time. So what are the ingredients for a home entertainment system. There are basically three sources of high-quality video and sound monitor and speakers for audio. To start, you should have a DVD player. Although you can get a DVD player, you should be fine if you want to use as part of a home entertainment system. The game may be a low-quality video and audio and can also be a problem in some DVD players.
The next step is one large room with a flat screen LCD or plasma TV or projector, be careful with the projection that it can be frustrating if you want to use your TV for video games. You should consider the HDTV of your choice if you want to future-proof your system and your movie a little better.
Finally, you must have some great speakers and a surround sound amplifier or stereo system to drive them. While you will be able to use the system to get a ridiculous amount of speakers, Dolby 5.1 is still the best system to go with him is the most widely supported.

I was skeptical I admit
I moved out of my house into a much smaller townhouse and I had to give up my Klipsche 2 series 5.1 system.....I HATED giving up surround sound. I have been bouncing back forth between this one and the CT350 model. I was scared that this wouldn't be as loud as I would like it........wow was I wrong. The room I have it in is only 11 X 15 (system on short side) and this thing is fantastic. It has a max volume of 50 and I find 24 to be more than enough. Is it true 5.1....no... but it has great surround effects and very full sound.....you will feel like the action is going around you which is what we all want anyway isn't it?
I tested it with Avatar Blu Ray..... Lord of the Rings ROTK Disc 2 DVD......Invictus ON Demand (for the accents.....hard on TV speakers).....was blown away each time
I turned up the center to +5 to bring out the dialog a little more and set the sub at +2
I also mounted the speaker ABOVE the TV which... Read more

i was really skeptical about going with a sound bar at first, but all of those thoughts were out the window as soon as the system got broken in (about 1 or 2 day period to fully break in the system). coming from the traditional 5.1 systems (have had systems ranging from home theater in a box-type of setups to bose lifestyle 5.1's to martin logan set ups), i was really surprised at how well this 1 speaker set up simulated "surround sound". i found myself looking over my shoulder every now and then, while watching movies, because i was hearing things from alot of different places, other than just in front of me. the CT150 was supposed to be a temporary set up for me, but after about a month of use, i'm really considering sticking to soundbars. the simplicity and ergonomics just cannot be compared to by big, traditional 5.1 systems.
as for sound quality, the vocals are nice and crisp. i know the CT100 had a vocal problem, but i can hear everything crystal clear on my CT150... Read more

Background: I am an audio enthusiast with 3 small children. My previous audio system, run by 3 Carver stereo amps, is in boxes in the basement, as I did not want little hands breaking things or blowing up pieces. The old system had more spent in Monster Cable wiring then this system cost. Life changes and the wife did not want speakers and wires everywhere so I made a compromise.
Current Setup: Sony Bravia TV (2006) Sony HTCT150 Sony Digital Media Port TDM-iP10 Sony PS3 - Original 60gig Nintendo Wii Leap Frog - Zippity
At the time of this review I have owned the HTCT150 for just over 2 weeks and have been quite impressed with the results. The main reason I got the system is for movies and TV watching and being able to hear and control the sound. The output range is good and it does a nice job with lows and high end. I liked that the system could be passive as the PS3 is our main DVD player and entertainment source, i.e. Netflix... Read more

Frisby Tower Wireless Surround Sound Home Theater Speaker System with Remote SD USB Reviews
This review is from: Frisby Tower Wireless Surround Sound Home Theater Speaker System with Remote SD USB (Electronics)
I got this speaker set and have nothing but regrets. Not quality craftsmanship. Not a good sound. Wired speakers work, but wireless speakers don't work. From the speakers that work there is a constant humm sound in addition to the sound you are supposed to hear. I would not recommend these.

For the price that it cost, this is a very outdated product. I was not able to test it because I never plug it in, but when I saw that it did not have HDMI connections I put it back in the box. it cost me 80.00 dollars to returned. :(

This review is from: Klipsch CS-500 2.1 Home Theater System with DVD Player (Electronics)
The sound from this system and easy connectivity were a big plus. 2.1 sound was good, solid base and good spoken word sound for movies/TV.
Unfortunately, the DVD player starting conking out and wouldn't play DVD's without skipping or pixelation after about 90 days. Trying to get an exchange through Klipsch or Amazon. The discs that were problematic on this unit played fine on another DVD player.
I've learned a lesson that it might be better to buy big, heavy items like this through a local store that might be easier in terms of exchange, especially when it quickly became defective.
UPDATE 4/12/09 - although amazon was a pain, Klipsch handled the situation very well, offering an exchange and even upgrading to the next model up.

I am happy with the sound quality. However, my first one stopped playing DVDs after a week. I returned it and my 2nd one stopped playing them after 1 year. Also, sometimes it would "lock-up" I would have to unplug and re-plug it from power to get it it to work again.

We are truly sorry for the trouble Ryan had with the DVD player portion of the Klipsch CS-500 2.1 Home Theater system, but we have since addressed it. We recently (MAR-10) upgraded the DVD portion of the CS-500 to a much more robust and reliable mechanism (this includes units currently in-stock at Amazon). After recognizing the failure rate of the CS-500's DVD section was not up to Klipsch standards, we implemented this upgrade at the factory-level. With this DVD mechanism upgrade, the CS-500 better delivers the legendary performance so many have come to expect from Klipsch since 1946.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
Klipsch is a recognized high quality name in home theater audio equipment, so I was very excited to receive this package. While, yes, you are not getting a blu-ray player with this system, you could expect to actually spend that $1000 retail price if you decided to purchase a system equal to this with a blu-ray player. As a secondary bedroom or even primary sound system, I found the quality to be superb for the price.
For a sub-$300 2.1 system this little guy really did well competing with our larger more expensive 5.1 Yamaha system. While the Yamaha will beat this system just because 5.1 will always sound better than 2.1, the sound from the speakers were crisper, clearer, and the subwoofer could nearly rattle the walls using it at full power. You still got the feeling of surround sound from this system.
For those who are not technologically inclined, this was not difficult at all to set up. I have had no problems with the DVD player thus far, and Klipsch has... Read more
