5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent sound, attractive - Very Pleased, November 20, 2011
This review is from: VIZIO VHT215 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer (Electronics)
Okay - 1st review of this. I bought it without reading any reviews, just knowing it was their latest and greatest. Not disappointed. Just purchased an LG 47LV5400 (excellent value as well) and wanted something more than factory sound, without the complication and ire of my wife that comes with a complete A/V system. Bottom line is this is a wonderful 'add' that takes a gorgeous TV like LG's and brings it to life. Make the factory speakers seem defective. If you are just looking to add some excellent sound to a TV - this is it. I have it set up in a 12x12 room and the sub rocks. I mean in ways that I never expected a wireless sub to perform. I do have a full blown A/V set-up in another room, and I'm not suggesting this in any way performs like a powered 15" Paradigm - but - for what it is, very impressed. It's worth noting that most newer TV's (including my new LG) that have an optical audio out, it is not a VARIABLE optical out. (Regardless of what the brain-dead guy at LG... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Wait Is Over, December 9, 2011
This review is from: VIZIO VHT215 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer (Electronics)
If you have been waiting for someone to take the average sound bar to the next level well, wait no more. VIZIO has done it with the VHT 215. Just one HDMI connection to your HDTV and your all set. If your looking for a vast improvement over your average HDTV speakers but you really didn't want to get into a big sound system with speakers all over the place and/or an additional receiver setting somewhere then this is the one. I wanted to add a little more bass to my HDTV and this has worked out terrific. The controls are easy to use, the directions are easy to understand, the installation is easy to do. So don't wait any longer you won't be disappointed. And buy the way I have not seen any firmware issue with this but if you don't connect the system to the right HDMI connection (ARC) on your HDTV I do believe it could create the issue another person has described.

5.0 out of 5 stars VHT215 delivers as promised, January 7, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: VIZIO VHT215 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer (Electronics)
I've been looking for an easy and affordable way to enhance the sound of an LED TV for my hard-of-hearing Mom for some time now and the VHT215 was the first product I've seen that met my minimum requirements of being less than $300 ($249 on Amazon), having a wireless subwoofer and supporting digital audio input (rather than just L/R audio in). The product was very well packed for safe shipping, one of the best I've seen for electronic products. Set-up was a breeze, the main speaker bar comes with feet so if you're placing it on a table or TV stand or what ever all you really have to do is locate the bar where you want it and connect the audio/video cable(s), place the subwoofer some where with line-of-sight to the bar, plug them in...and you have a significant enhancement to your sound. I've had a wired true sorround sound system in my home theater for some time now and the VHT215 is not as good but when you consider the cost and convenience it's a nice compromise.

Squeezebox Boom Best Budget Gadget Streaming Music

Logitech Squeezebox Wi-Fi Internet Radio and Wireless Music Player Squeezebox Boom used to hear music on your PC, but with the rise of streaming music services like Pandora, Last.fm and Rhapsody, most people just want the music to the cloud. Radio Squeezebox can manage everything and $ 150 is the best way to stream music to a secondary role as a kitchen, bedroom or den. Better yet, buy an extra battery for $ 50, then you can take your radio everywhere Squeezebox with a Wi-Fi

The Squeezebox Boom is our favorite Wi-Fi radio for a while, but the radio while painting, costs about $ 300 with limited resources. Logitech Squeezebox radio ($ 200) is designed to offer almost everything that is good with the boom in a small package and for less money - and it works. How can pass all Wi-Fi radio, radio Squeezebox thousands of Internet radio stations, but it is also intelligent, with music stored on a computer that is required in many online music services (Pandora, Rhapsody, Slacker last.fm, to name a few), podcasts and even photos on Flickr. Squeezebox radio physical design is exceptionally refined, with a stunning color screen and excellent control layout on the front. Most of our complaints nitpick. Logitech rate for accessory package with a remote control and battery, $ 50 for Squeezebox includes portable radio is just extra, but the distance should have been filed.

The first unit is for those who are discouraged by the music played on a home network, but after the initial investment period, it is the fast. Squeezebox radio is more expensive than competing options, such as Grace GDI-IR2000, radio and Livio VTech IS9181, but here, it is useful for its exceptional design, unmatched features and additional Sonics.
