The WIRELESS Q Line Gold Home Theater Surround Sound System features 4 bookshelf satellite speakers and one center channel speaker, all utilizing SLS International's PRD100 Planar Ribbon Drivers and woven Kevlar midrange drivers. To meet today's demanding low frequency requirements, SLS has included a high excursion, self-powered subwoofer delivering accurate and controlled bass. A multi channel Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound receiver powers the system with 110 watts per channel featuring a built-in room balancing algorithm, component video throughput with video up scaling, on screen display, and a universal remote control. No more running wires from the front of your room to the rear. The rear speakers are wireless via a transmitter receiver which delivers audiophile grade sound via a 50watt rms amplifier.

Some peoplesay Sony is overpriced. I say that's a load of old horsefeathers. Apple is overpriced. Okay, so $550 (how much I paid for the set from Sony Style in Boston, MA) for a 5.1 home theater speaker setup that doesn't include a receiver or bundled blu-ray player like most of the rest of Sony's home theater offerings, is definitely a little pricey, but once I got these babies hooked up to my STR-DN2010, oh man, they were smokin' and tokin'! I got serious goosebumps from the sound. In a word: Amazing. TV? Amazing. DVD? Amazing. Playstation, Xbox, and Wii? Amazing. MP3 player? Amazing. This review is from: Sony SA-VS310 Home Theater System (Electronics) These speakers are great. I'm very conscious of sound and like really good 5.1 speakers. It took me a while to decide on these. I liked the look but was worried about the sound quality, being that they were very small speakers. I was able to try them in a local BestBuy, which isn't always the easiest to do, and they sounded good. I bought them from Amazon after many weeks of deliberation. When I got them there was no doubt, they were great. The sound that comes out of these small speakers is pretty impressive. You should always keep in might that these are not large professional speakers. They produce really good sound, but your need a decent receiver. Nothing will ever be as good as large speakers, but these are perfect for those of us that like great sound and love small stylish speaker systems. Each bedroom has a wall mounted LG 32" 720p lcd tv. I found them on ebay for $79. At that price I figured it was no big risk if it turned out to be junk. This setup is better than I anticipated and FAR BETTER than listening to just the TV. Certainly not the best you can do, but at $79 bucks they were well worth the money. A blue-ray would have been nice, but again, were only talking about 79 dollars. I'm sure most HT/audio enthusiasts would thumb their nose at this product, but that same person would be ready to spend much more $$$ for a better setup. I bought it without reading any reviews, just knowing it was their latest and greatest. Not disappointed. Just purchased an LG 47LV5400 (excellent value as well) and wanted something more than factory sound, without the complication and ire of my wife that comes with a complete A/V system. Bottom line is this is a wonderful 'add' that takes a gorgeous TV like LG's and brings it to life. Make the factory speakers seem defective. If you are just looking to add some excellent sound to a TV - this is it. I have it set up in a 12x12 room and the sub rocks. I mean in ways that I never expected a wireless sub to perform. I do have a full blown A/V set-up in another room, and I'm not suggesting this in any way performs like a powered 15" Paradigm - but - for what it is, very impressed. VIZIO has done it with the VHT 215. Just one HDMI connection to your HDTV and your all set. If your looking for a vast improvement over your average HDTV speakers but you really didn't want to get into a big sound system with speakers all over the place and/or an additional receiver setting somewhere then this is the one. I wanted to add a little more bass to my HDTV and this has worked out terrific. The controls are easy to use, the directions are easy to understand, the installation is easy to do. So don't wait any longer you won't be disappointed. And buy the way I have not seen any firmware issue with this but if you don't connect the system to the right HDMI connection (ARC) on your HDTV I do believe it could create the issue another person has described. The product was very well packed for safe shipping, one of the best I've seen for electronic products. Set-up was a breeze, the main speaker bar comes with feet so if you're placing it on a table or TV stand or what ever all you really have to do is locate the bar where you want it and connect the audio/video cable(s), place the subwoofer some where with line-of-sight to the bar, plug them in...and you have a significant enhancement to your sound.
