I was skeptical at first about this system. I only use the Aux out put. Haven't tried the 5.1 surround sound. Works great. I use it for music. The bass is very nice, it can be turn up pretty loud with out distortion and the speakers are great. The things that aren't as great are the wiring that is sent with the system and the remote. But the wiring can be purchased at Wal-mart for a cheap price so not that big of a deal. The remote on the other hand only works at certain angles and doesn't reach that far. But other then that.. If you have a small budget and was huge sound.. Well I can tell whats happening behind me and the sound from in front of me is different.. works well with my Playstation 3 and NetflixI bought this thing to replace my weak TV speakers... this thing... makes explosions in video games and movies sound.. ok... BUT ITS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN MY TV SPEAKERS! At a higher volume... it sucks.. but its cheap so whatever right? Out of 00~99 10~35 is awesome Even at 48 is ok.. but anything after that is either too loud or you loss a lot of clarity. this set is great to playing music when I have people over. You can hear music even from all the way outside and on the other side of the house. My roommate and I unboxed the system and immediately set it up,the speakers sounded great right out of the box, but much to our dismay the woofer seemed to be very weak, neither of us were expecting magic but both of us had hoped for more. We began adjusting settings, boosting the woofer levels, playing with the equalizers on our computers etc, nothing was producing much bass, it sounded like it was there but even in our small room you couldn't feel anything.Fear not though, it seems it just needed to settle in or warm up, less than a day of heavy use (~ 20 hours of music in the first 24 hours of owning it) and with all the settings back to equal, the sub began to pick up and has only been getting better for the next day or two.
