I found that the sound from this system was little less than I was expecting after reading all of the reviews online and especially through CNet. It was one of their top 5 systems I believe.
As such, I was expecting great things. I have had to settle for good things. The sound is good. I wanted an unobtrusive set up in our new place, and on that point the system delivers. Nice little speakers, appear to be of quality manufacture, but I find I have to drive them a little harder than my old Klipsch Quintet. Nonetheless, I like the system.

I bought these speakers for my living room, 10x20' or so. I was worried they wouldn't be loud enough, or that I'd have to turn it all the way up to make it loud. These are some of the most crisp speakers I've heard in a while, and plenty loud enough for the living room, and other big rooms. The bass isn't window rattling, but it blends in so well with the rest of the system, and the other speaker, everything sounds so natural. I would highly recommend these to any of my friends. It goes as loud as I like it, and then has more to spare. The size of the speaker makes them unimposing on the wall, and is a pleasant surprise to anyone who hears them "those are really loud for tiny speakers"

I've been looking for small, powerful speakers with great sound quality and that's what I got. I use these speakers first for what they are meant, a surround sound system and second to listen to live steaming music from Pandora.
I must say that part of my instant and overwhelming love of these speakers are in part based on what they are replacing, a 5.1 mini JBL system. I had that system for 10 years and always loved how it performed even though I knew it could be out done. About 3 years ago I decided I would replace the JBL system and after reading the reviews the Mirage MX 5.1 seemed my best option. The price was the only thing that held me back. When the price dropped on Black Friday this year I jumped at it.
I'm the production manager for a national jazz festival and I know what a good professional sound system sounds like. I also know that any system worth it's weight will need to be adjusted for the space it's in. I followed the speaker placement... Read more

LG LHB536 is a overall a good system for the price. Price will probably come down. So if you can wait to buy, keep an eye on the price. Sound is good and there are no wireless speakers but speakers are easy to hook up. The wireless connection is great for streaming video from Netflix. I love this feature. If you have cable set top box you connect the HDMI output from the box to an HDMI input on the LG system. Then you connect the HDMI out from the LG to an HDMI input on your TV. You DO NOT need a digital optical out cable if you connect using HDMI. The instructions that come with the system to set it up Stink but you can get good support by calling their support line. PROS: Price, sound, picture, wifi with streaming video if you subscribe to Netflix, Vudu, cinemax etc., I POD connect, Bluray DVD. Good telephone support Cons: The remote is not a learning remote, so it will not turn power on for your TV or cablebox. Manual is lacking details

I don't normally do written reviews, only star ratings, but I had to put my 2� into the conversation. First of all, like some others I totally agree that it is ridiculous to expect a wireless speaker system if you know anything about systems at all, wireless or otherwise. The description is pretty clear in that the wireless term refers to the internet connection only. Anyway, I first bought an inexpensive RCA HTS, and would have been content except that the system was made defective from the factory (which I realized only after seeing reviews after I purchased- dumb not to research before I bought, I know). In disgust and in a hurry to try out the 3D on my new TV, I ordered this system and waited for it to arrive before returning the defective RCA system, and when I went from the old to the new, I couldn't believe the difference in the sound!! OMG, totally worth every penny spent on this LG system.

I normally would have ponied up for a real AV receiver and speaker setup, but my main issue was that I didn't have the room to fit a large Onkyo receiver. And in the small room I'm in, the little 5.1 system I had at the moment was fine, so I decided to look around and see what I could get that was smaller in size.
Pretty much all of my options had Blu-Ray players with them, which I didn't really need because I had a PS3, but I decided what the hell. I'm mainly buying this to have a 5.1 system that does HDMI, my old setup was using optical cables. Plus the newer DD and DTS modes is an upgrade for me and overall this is cheaper than buying a real AV receiver + speakers.
I'm pretty impressed with this system, it's got a lot of bang for the buck. For starters, this will be my default BD player now just because turning it on and starting up a movie is a lot faster than going through the PS3. I have not written product reviews on Amazon before but I find them to be extremely helpful and want to give some payback. In particular, I found the home theater system and home theater speaker reviews to be very useful.
The Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 channel home theater speaker system is phenomenal and an outstanding value. I had originally been looking for a home theater in a box system to mate to a newly acquired 37" LG LCD HDTV. The search was partly precipitated by the demise of the older generation DVD player we owned coupled to a failing 10 year old Onkyo surround-sound system. As I poked around on-line reviews and shopped Circuit City and Best Buy it became clear I could get more value and flexibility buying a receiver, an upscalable DVD player (improved picture with regular DVDs on HDTV) and a new speaker system than with home theater in a box.

I do consider myself to be picky when it comes to electronics. And I am absolutely floored that speakers this good can be had for a price this low. If you are reading this review, you are probably asking yourself the same question I was this time last week. That being: Are these speakers too good to be true?
During my buying process, I read about these Polks and consequently made a trip to a dumpy Circuit City with a poorly set-up sound room. Before the speakers were played, I picked up one of the sats. and was extremely impressed with its build quality... nice materials, very attractive... and the speakers have a solidness/weight to them that let you know these are not those cheap pressed-wood speakers you'll find in most HTIB systems. Secondly, I was impressed with the sound even though the rears weren't hooked-up and the sub-woofer was poorly placed.

Before reviewing - "thanks" to everyone who did likewise. I recently upgraded a few elements and placed a lot of emphasis upon user reviews to guide decisions between rival components.
As for the review, first a description of my home theater and audio system: Dell WD4200 1080i HD Monitor, Yamaha RX-V661 A/V receiver, Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player, Polk RM6750 system as the "A" speaker set, Klipsch Forte's as the "B" speaker pair. The listening/viewing environment is a carpeted, 12 x 14 room opening on one narrow side with an archway into a larger room, with the TV, front speakers, and subwoofer placed on a long wall.
